In the writing, clears that "the Association of Spanish Footballers wants to report by means of this communiqué it sucedido in the final of the Supercopa of feminine Spain contested in Mérida, in which the footballers of the Football Club Barcelona, brilliant champions of the tournament, and of the Real Sociedad were despised, between other things, during the moment to collect the medals of champions and subcampeón".
They have added that "our mates were clearly infravaloradas by part of the Real Spanish Federation of Football, that did not recognise as they deserve to the brilliant finalists", relating that "in Mérida, the players of the F.C. Barcelona and of the Real Sociedad did not receive the same deal, being victims of a clear discrimination in relation to his mates, leaving for the memory a regrettable image that can not go back to repeat".
"AFE Understands that the institutions, Ministry of culture and Sport and Upper Council of Sports, can not neither have to overlook this type of facts, when the new Law of the Sport, in which AFE has worked in different and important questions, contemplates basic appearances to boost a just equality between men and women", sentencing that "the equality, in full 21st century, is a vital question to create a juster society, and in the case of the Supercopa of Spain all the means -diffusion, organisation, development, etc.- have to be exactly equal to the hour to organise the masculine and the feminine".
The communiqué of the RFEF
Before, from the Real Spanish Federation of Football had issued a communiqué in which they established that "In accordance with the protocols of premiación of the RFEF, and taking into account so much the high number of institutional representation, as well as the infrastructures for the access to the loge from the lawn of the stadium, the department of Protocol decided to activate the ceremony of delivery in the loge of the same way that carries cape in the Glass of Rey: delivery of the Glass to the captain of the instrument champion and delivery of medals to the victorious team in lawn/changing room.
