Chelsea made history in Poland by coming back in the Conference League final against Real Betis (1-4)
Chelsea secured the second European title of the season against Real Betis (1-4). After Tottenham's coronation last week in Bilbao in the Europa League final (1-0 against Manchester United), the 'blues' did their homework to come back against a combative Seville team that was at home in Poland.
An authentic green tide accompanied Manuel Pellegrini's team, but finally Chelsea, clear favorites for the title, took the trophy thanks to goals from Enzo Fernández, Nicolas Jackson, Jadon Sancho, and Moisés Caicedo.
The match had two radically opposite faces in Wrocław. A brilliant first half from Betis, with Isco Alarcón and former FC Barcelona player, Ez Abde, in stellar form, and a second half of discreet London dominance where Enzo Maresca's team overcame the initial disadvantage with two goals in 5 minutes.
Cole Palmer, with two assists, was the MVP of a final that allows Chelsea to become the first team capable of winning the three main European cups: the Champions League, the Europa League, and the Conference League, in addition to the Super Cup.
Abde put a much superior Betis ahead in the first half
The Spanish team took control of the match from the start, with Isco taking over the midfield. The former Real Madrid midfielder assisted Abde in the 9th minute. The Moroccan received on the left and took a crossed shot to blast past goalkeeper Jörgensen.

The Azulgrana youth player had the second in the 20th minute, but preferred to pass to Johnny Cardozo, who shot high due to a deflection of what seemed like a clear goal. The 'Verdiblancos' dominated with authority in the first 45 minutes, although the English had a timid reaction in the last five minutes.
Chelsea crushed Betis with four goals in the second half

After the break, in the first ten minutes of the second half, Betis tried to maintain the high pressure in the opponent's field, but Chelsea improved progressively after the entry of Reece James and, above all, Jadon Sancho.
In the 65th minute, with Betis already retreated in their field, Palmer put a perfect cross to the heart of the area just where the Argentine Enzo Fernández appeared behind the central defenders, heading at will to beat Adrián. From then on, there was only one team on the field.
Five minutes later, Palmer appeared again, this time leaving Jesús Rodríguez behind on the right. The Englishman's cross found Nicolas Jackson alone, who finished with his shoulder to complete the comeback.
Towards the end, Sancho, with a remarkable finish on the left, after a mistake by Sabaly in the exit, settled the match in the 83rd minute. To add to Betis' suffering, the Ecuadorian Moisés Caicedo made it four in added time with a powerful shot from the edge of the area.
Too much punishment for a team that went from more to less and ran out of legs and ideas against a team with more hierarchy and a multi-million dollar squad. First international title for the administration of the American Todd Bohely. Disappointment for a Betis that falls heavily in Poland and puts an end to a streak of 19 consecutive victories for Spanish teams in European finals.
