Barça snatches the scoring lead from Real Madrid in LaLiga!
FC Barcelona closed LaLiga EA Sports 2024/25 with a total of 102 goals scored in the 38 matchdays played, 24 more than Real Madrid. Thanks to this, the Azulgrana team once again surpassed the 'Casa Blanca' in the historical classification of the tournament, in terms of goals scored.
At the end of 23/24, the 'merengues' had 6,483 goals, 7 more than the culés (6,477). Now, Barça has 6,579 goals, 18 goals more than Madrid (6,561). The Whites, however, still lead the table in terms of victories and points.
Despite having lost the two Liga Clásicos and accumulating 6 defeats in the season, Real has 1,846 victories in its 94 seasons in Primera, in addition to 613 draws. With this, it leads the historical classification with 5,043 points.
Barça remains second in the historical LaLiga table

Barça, for its part, now has 1,787 and 617 draws in the tournament, which translates into 4,937 points. From the 1995/96 season, LaLiga began to award 3 points for a victory (before it was 2).
In that sense, the 'merengues' still have a relatively comfortable advantage of 106 points in the historical classification. In addition, the 'Casa Blanca' has 36 titles, 8 more than Barcelona (28).
However, the culés are also leaders in the tournament in terms of goal difference. Barça accumulates +3,183, while Madrid accumulates +3,147. This has to do, in addition to the advantage in terms of goals scored, with the defensive aspect, because the Azulgrana team has received 3,396 goals, 14 less than its fierce rival (3,414)
Atlético de Madrid (11 championships) completes the historical podium of the tournament. The 'colchoneros' reached third place in the historical table in 1991, but lost it in 2001 and had to wait until 2016 to surpass Athletic Club again.

Barça, Real Madrid and Athletic, only teams without relegations in LaLiga
However, unlike the 'lions', Aleti has been relegated on several occasions. In total, the 'rojiblancos' have been 6 years out of LaLiga, while Athletic, along with Barça and Real Madrid, has never lost the category. The Bilbao team has 3,805 points in the historical table, still far from Atlético (4,053).
Diego Simeone's cycle allowed the 'colchoneros' to establish themselves in the upper area of the classification, always remaining in Champions League positions since 2012/13. In fact, only in 23/24, Aleti was fourth and, in the Argentine's debut season, fifth.
In the other 13 seasons, 'Cholo's' team were 2 times champions, 2 runners-up and 9 times finished in third place. The 'lions', on the other hand, have not lifted the title since 1984 and will only return to the Champions League this 2025 after eleven years of absence.
