Dani Rodríguez misses a golden opportunity due to the injury to his shoulder. The player will stay in Barcelona following a treatment thinking about the U-20 World Cup
The last months have not been easy for Dani Rodríguez, left winger who debuted with the first team of FC Barcelona on matchday 34 of LaLiga EA Sports 2024/25, being a starter, but suffered an acute dislocation in his right shoulder.
The player's injury occurred around the 38th minute in the match against Real Valladolid (1-2) at the José Zorrilla stadium on May 3. The 19-year-old attacker began to feel pain after a clash against central defender Adam Aznou.
In that match, the player who played with Barca Atlétic for most of the season, showed glimpses of his quality, as it was a match that Barcelona started losing after conceding a goal from Iván Sánchez in the 6th minute. Rodríguez remained one of the most active players when attacking.
After feeling pain, the player could not continue on the field, so the medical services of the blaugrana team placed a provisional bandage to immobilize his right arm due to the obvious gestures of pain.

Dani Rodríguez out of the pre-season
In principle, it was expected that the attacker would be included in the squad for the Asian Tour of the German coach Hansi Flick, but he will remain in Barcelona to continue treatment and recover in the best way.
The Basque player has a contract with Barça until 2027. In addition, according to the latest information, he is one of the players that the German technical director would like to keep in the dynamics of the first team.
Dani Rodríguez will miss the matches against Vissel Kobe (July 27), FC Seoul (July 31) and Daegu FC (August 4). The player also wants to recover to play in the U-20 World Cup with Spain, which will be held in Chilean lands from September 27 to October 19.
Could Dani Rodríguez change his mind?
Although Rodríguez has a link with Barça until 2027 (as mentioned above), the latest rumors suggest that last summer Dani would have received interest from teams such as Tottenham, Athletic Club or Real Sociedad.
In this context, information also emerged indicating that Athletic Club would be thinking of returning to the charge for the left winger.
Faced with a possible offer, the player could rethink his situation, since the pre-season was a golden opportunity to show himself and he will miss it. Added to this, the possible incorporation of Nico Williams to the first team of Barça would also take away space for him to stay as a definitive piece of the first team.
