FIFA continues to work to improve VAR protocols. Although the loss of time is one of the main points against the review of plays, it is likely that, starting in 2024, the VAR can influence more actions in the game
The International Football Association Board (IFAB), known in Spanish like the F.To. Board International, would be considering expand the power of the VAR for incidir in more actions of each party. As it advances the British journalist Martyn Ziegler of the newspaper 'The Times', the FIFA contemplates to review played in free shots and corners, in addition to the expulsions by second yellow cards. For the moment, the VAR only can review actions by red direct and penaltis.
This, in accordance with Ziegler, generates fears of more delays in the directive of the maximum body of the English football, the FA (Football Association). In this regard, Mark Bullingham, executive director of the FA and member of the managerial board of the IFAB, referred to the subject the past month ensuring that "they are reacios to have a game that detain much more of what is at present, but the debate follows opened".

The FIFA foresees more adjust to the protocols of the VAR in 2024
In principle, the committee of the IFAB commissioned of the control of the Rules of the Game is formed by the four British federations, that have a vote each one, and the FIFA, that has four votes. In this sense, in the English football need six votes to carry out any change in the regulation, including the protocols of the VAR. This Tuesday there will be a meeting in London to argue the application of the video arbitration in the international football.
In this regard, Peter Walton, ex referee of the Premier League, ensured that it would be "vehemently against" to expand the scope of the powers of the VAR. In Spain, the decisions of the VAR take from the room VOR, situated in the City of the Football of Brush Them, in Madrid. For the moment, the RFEF does not contemplate important changes in the implementation of the tool, although it is attentive to any update approved by FIFA.
