After 8 of 20 in the first part of the championship
Barça will play a total of 11 home games in the second half of LaLiga
The team led by Hansi Flick will have the home court advantage in the key moment of the season
Barça will have special help in their fight for LaLiga. The Blaugrana team will play 11 of the 18 total matches in the second half of the domestic championship at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, which represents 61% of the matches. Of the remaining 15, 9 will be played at Montjuic, hosting rivals such as Real Madrid, Real Sociedad or Osasuna at their home ground.
This is because, before the LaLiga calendar was drawn up, the Barça Board of Directors communicated to the administration of the Spanish competition their desire to play most of the matches of the first round away from home. Not with the aim of generating a backlash for the second half of the tournament, but to try to play as many matches as possible at the Spotify Camp Nou. Despite there being some delays with the return to the stadium, the club hopes that, by May, it will be possible to be there again.
A first round away from home
FC Barcelona played a total of 19 matches in the first round, one of which was relocated (19th). This is because, while Flick's charges, Mallorca, Real Madrid and Athletic Club, were fighting each other for the Spanish Super Cup, the rest of the teams played one more match. Of the almost twenty matches that took place between August and December, the Blaugranas had the home court advantage in 8 of them. The remaining 11 matches were held in the respective stadiums of the corresponding rivals on each round.

At the Christmas break, Atlético de Madrid was the leader of the competition, with 44 points, and Real Madrid followed closely behind, with one less unit.
Rowing against the current in the second round
New year, new life. That is the philosophy applied by Barça in 2025. The Catalan entity has played 11 matches in all competitions, of which it has won 10 and drawn 1. Corresponding to LaLiga there have been 4, which have ended up representing 9 of 12 points. Despite the fact that the culés were 7 points behind Madrid and 5 behind Atlético, they are managing to close the gap. They are 2 points behind their bitter rival, while they are only 1 behind the Colchoneros. In addition, when they need it most, they will have the home court advantage in their favour.
