Barça pays tribute to Gavi in the official debut of the 'Black Mamba' jersey

FC Barcelona paid tribute to Pablo Gavi before the match of matchday 6 of LaLiga EA Sports 2025/26, against Real Oviedo. The eleven players chosen by Hansi Flick took to the pitch at the Carlos Tartiere Stadium with a shirt sending a message of support to the midfielder, who is out for four to five months after the suture of his right internal meniscus.

'Ànims Gavi' (Cheer up Gavi) was the message chosen by the 'culés' players. The Barça squad supported the '6', along with the coaching staff, once the bad omens about the injury that kept him out since the end of August were confirmed. The 21-year-old player underwent an arthroscopy that detected a major problem in the same knee operated on in November 2023.

Barça finally debuts its 'Black Mamba' kit in LaLiga

Barcelona, ​​finally, was able to use the 'Black Mamba' collection shirt, which has a pale ocher color as the predominant color, with black and purple details. The kit pays tribute to the basketball legend, Kobe Bryant, combining the colors of his lifelong team in the American NBA, Los Angeles Lakers.

The 'culés' could not use this shirt against Mallorca (0-3) and Levante (2-3), since LaLiga's 'Kit selector' considered that there was not enough contrast with the colors of the 'bermellones' and 'granotas'. Therefore, the team had to use its green shirt from last season (third kit of the 24/25 season).

The second 25/26 kit had already been used in preseason
