Ferran Torres shone on his return to the starting lineup. Against Getafe (3-0), the 'Shark' 'bit' twice to lead another Barça rout
FC Barcelona did their homework against Getafe (3-0) at the Estadi Johan Cruyff. Hansi Flick's team once again prevailed with authority on a day in which Ferran Torres was named MVP. The '7', in principle, would be a substitute against the 'Azulones', but a delay by Marcus Rashford in the activation session prior to the match sent the Englishman to the bench.
Finally, Flick opted for the 'Shark' as left winger, keeping Raphinha in place of the injured Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski as '9'. In the first half, the player from Foios was, by far, the most active forward for Barça with a pair of goals, hurting the Madrid defense with his explosiveness when entering the area.
Ferran Torres Takes Over the Goal-Scoring Lead at Barcelona

Ferran opened the scoring in the 15th minute, entering freely through the center of the area to finish, first-time, a superb backheel from Dani Olmo. Then, in the 34th minute, the Valencian once again surpassed the Getafe defense in speed, finishing on the run against David Soria from a filtered pass by Raphinha after a lethal Azulgrana counterattack.
Torres took advantage of Lewandowski's dragging of markers to enter the area freely on repeated occasions. In the 42nd minute, the 'Shark' was very close to completing his 'hat-trick', but he sent a chipped pass from Pedri onto the crossbar, this time arriving easily from the right side.
In the second half, Flick took the opportunity to give minutes to Fermín López and Marcus Rashford, taking off the '7' and Raphinha. In total, Ferran played 60 minutes in which he completed 18 of 24 passes (75%), 3 of them in the final third of the field.
Thanks to his brace, the player from Foios takes over the lead in goals for Barça alone, with 4 goals. Only Kylian Mbappé (5) has scored more goals than the Azulgrana forward, who broke a streak of two matchdays without scoring after starting the season 'sweetly', with goals against Mallorca (0-3) and Levante (2-3). In addition, he provided an assist against Valencia (6-0).

Ferran Clears Doubts About His Role: "Of Course I Can Be a Starter"
At the end of the match, the 'Shark' spoke with 'DAZN' about his performance and moment at Hansi Flick's Barcelona. For the '7', there are no doubts regarding his role in the team, although he started the season knowing he was a substitute behind the 'LRL' (Lamine, Raphinha, and Lewandowski).
"I already said that I can be a starter at Barça. I always try to take advantage of opportunities. Many more goals are coming," the '7' began by saying. Likewise, Ferran valued the collective Azulgrana performance against a rival that is always uncomfortable due to their ultra-defensive scheme and physical play.
"We knew it was going to be a difficult match. They often don't propose anything, committing many fouls and cutting the rhythm of the game. We are used to that, many times teams close themselves off and we have quality players to find the spaces," the player from Foios pointed out.
