Hansi Flick received the award for best LaLiga coach at the 2025 Globe Soccer Awards gala. President Joan Laporta collected the award in Dubai
The Atlantis The Royal hotel in Dubai hosted the 16th edition of the Globe Soccer Awards, also known as the Dubai D'or, this Sunday. In the 2025 edition, FC Barcelona was the main award recipient thanks to their remarkable 2024/25 season, where the team led by Hansi Flick secured the national treble: League, Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup.
The German coach, as expected, took home the award for best LaLiga coach. Barça's president, Joan Laporta, collected the award at the gala, as the manager could not attend due to personal commitments. Upon receiving the award, the Barça official did not hold back in his praise for Flick.

"It is a privilege to have him as a coach, along with Deco and his collaborators who are doing a very good job. The key to his success is his ability to have adapted to the club. The work of the entire staff is incredible," argued the Barça president.
Flick Dominated His First Season and a Half in LaLiga
Beyond the title obtained last season, Hansi Flick has consolidated his dominance in LaLiga by securing the winter champion title in 25/26. The Blaugrana team has led the tournament with an iron fist since the German's arrival on the Culer bench, having occupied first place in the standings in 38 of the 56 matchdays played so far.
Flick's Barça's league record is 43 wins, 5 draws, and 8 losses, with 153 goals for (2.73 per game) and 59 against, maintaining a goal difference of +94. The team defeated all opponents faced so far (22) and closed out 2025 with a streak of 8 consecutive wins, all of them with a minimum margin of two goals.
Barcelona, best LaLiga club at the Globe Soccer Awards
As was logical, Barcelona also took home the award for best team of the year at the Globe Soccer Awards. Joan Laporta valued the award, as well as the team's reaction and character in overcoming a 7-point deficit to Real Madrid in the second half of the 24/25 season."I'll keep the difficult moments, when the team always shows up. In November we hit a rough patch and I think Lamine, Raphinha, Pedri and company, with Flick's help, overcame it. We beat Real Madrid for the fifth time and they showed that their commitment to the club is enormous," the Barcelona president pointed out.
Raphinha and Lamine Yamal also received awards in Dubai
Laporta took the stage for a third time at the Atlantis The Royal hotel in Dubai to accept the award for best LaLiga player, which went to **Raphinha**. The Brazilian had been honored as the MVP of the 24/25 season after scoring 18 goals and providing 9 assists last season.
"I want to apologize for not being able to attend this gala and thank you for this very special recognition and for valuing my work. It was an unforgettable season, and I want to thank my teammates and this very special club, which I feel is like a family," Rapha said in his remote speech.
"We are always calmer when Raphinha is on the field. His leadership is very important: he is captain and transmits passion, intensity, in addition to his talent and being a goalscorer. We missed him when he wasn't here, it's noticeable, he pushes his teammates to give their best," Laporta added upon receiving the award.
