The alternative of the Barça, Madrid and Athletic to the agreement LaLiga-CVC

The FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Athletic Club of Bilbao have not remained with the arms crossed in front of the controversial agreement approved of LaLiga with the bottom investor, 'LaLiga Impulse', that will inject to the competition 2.700 million euros that will deliver between the clubs to give back in the next 40 years to a low interest. The CVC, thus, will perceive 11% total of the no audiovisual businesses and 10,95% of the audiovisual in 50 years.

From a principle, the three clubs showed against and achieved a solution: the new 'Sustainable Project', which already have presented to all the teams of First and Second Division through a letter. With this proposal, according to the calculations, recorta the term to the half (of 50 to 25 years) and reduces significantly the global cost of the finance by the agreement. It is advised by Key Main Partners and backed financially by Bank of America, JP Morgan and HSBC.

The cost is inferior to 3% and is independent to the evolution of the income. For the 42 teams of First and Second would be of 881 millions. In the agreement of LaLiga with the bottom investor CVC contemplates , between other things, the increase of the percentage of commission, being this proportional to the increases of the income. 'SPORT' Aims that "sources of the promoters of the 'Sustainable Project' consider that his proposal is between five and 193 more economic times that the one of CVC".

The cost for the clubs (in the agreement Ties-CVC) is of 168.639 million euros, as long as the income increase 10% of annual way, taking in account 8,2% of the television rights that will obtain the bottom investor. With the new alternative, the Barça, Madrid and Athletic propose that the cost always will be the same (881 millions) and the saving will be greater, especially if they increase the income. In this case, would give back 0,4%.

The 'Sustainable Project' arrives in the just moment

The three clubs have done to arrive the proposal to the rest of teams in First and Second just when it will give the vote for the approval of 'LaLiga Impulse'. The patronal needs that 22 of the 42 clubs approve the initiative so that the project go on. The same, will produce next Friday 10 December. Barça, Madrid and Athletic will do all the possible to avoid the 'mortgage' of the Spanish teams to 50 years.
