Former soccer player Gary Lineker has been recognized at the XV edition of the Manuel Vázquez Montalbán International Journalism Award and spoke about various protagonists of FC Barcelona, Pedri among them
This Thursday has celebrated laXV edition of the International Prize of Journalism Manuel Vázquez Montalbán, in the sportive category, and have recognised to Gary Lineker, exfutbolista that went through the rows of the FC Barcelona between 1986 and 1989, and that now is sportive analyst in England. Joan Laporta has delivered him the prize and the English took advantage of to review the Barcelona actuality.
On the prize that received, Lineker aimed that "I am very happy for winning this trophy and does me feel very proud. There are a lot of people that has received it to which respect a lot. I am very happy for winning it. Estic molt content", speaking later on his go through the Barça and work with Johan Cruyff.
"Have big memories of the fans and of my stage here, especially the first years. I never had any problem with Johan Cruyff, the one who is perhaps one of the best trainers of all time. His style was special", said, insisting later that the Dutch "was a good person. He bet by his foreigners, and I understood it".
On the Barcelona actuality, only had praises. "Xavi has done it very well, but is difficult to take a team and change all quickly. I see him well. In Champions has had problems. But with Gavi, Pedri, Ansu Fati, Araujo...". Of the of Tegueste, did upsetting: "Pedri loves me, is a very special player. It is very exceptional and different to the other. It is one of the best youngsters of the world, perhaps the best. Has a lot of future, works a lot, is very skillful... It has it almost everything. It is not Messi, but there is not anybody like him".

On the other hand, it has spoken on the eternal rival, the Real Madrid, and stood out that it is one of the most important clubs in the world: "For me, has a lot of luck, but is a big team. It is a phenomenon, what has done in Champions during years without losing a final... It is one of the biggest of the world, like the Barça and two or three clubs in England. It knows to win. The same the current staff is not so special as in the past, but wins".
