Maria Rosa, Sergi Roberto's mother dies

This Saturday, a sad news shook the life of Sergi Roberto, footballer of the first staff of the FC Barcelona. His mother, Maria Rosa, died to the 59 years owing to ELA, an illness against which carried time struggling. The Barcelona club announced the news and showed his condolencias to the footballer through a felt message by the social networks.

"Sergi Roberto, receives our sense weigh me and all our support by the loss of your mother. It rests in peace, Maria Rosa", went the message launched by the official account of the FC Barcelona, that announced of this form the sad news and added to the pain of the midfield player of Reus.

The president of the FC Barcelona, Josep Maria Bartomeu, went this same Saturday to the hometown of the footballer to give him the condolence of personal form although, according to the informations published by the daily Sportive World, will not be able to attend to the funeral, that will take place this same Sunday.

ELA, a cruel illness

On 21 June -the world-wide day of the fight against the ELA- of 2018, Sergi Roberto communicated that his mother suffered said illness through the social networks, commanding him an affectionate message and asking that it boost the investigation to find some cure.

It is necessary to remember that still there is not a definite cure for the ELA, an illness degenerativa of neuromuscular type that suffer thousands of people only in Spain. The mother of Sergi Roberto was one of the victims and thus the player encouraged the year happened to all the people that suffer it, with the one who shares pain.
