Muñiz: "Messi always has been an inspiration for me"

In an interview conceded to the newspaper "Sport", Santiago Muñiz, the better Argentinian surfer valued in the actuality, has ensured that it is an unconditional admirer of the game practised by Leo Messi and that would love him know him in person, although it always carries to the "10" in his table of surf during the competitions. "Messi always has been an inspiration for me. It is a homage to him carry a table with his image , the 10 and the celestial and white", ensures the talentoso surfer, that was born in Argentina but emigrated with his parents to Brazil when so only had 3 months.

His brother Alejo represents to Brazil in the world-wide circuit, but he has decided to represent to Argentina. It likes him surfear in a table that carries the image of Leo Messi. "It is a homage to the inspiration that generates me. I decided me for putting the 10, our flag and he with this gesture of the hands upwards, an expression that did after a goal. What better that a moment of glory, ojalá can happen this energy and I arrive to the same that he. Dream with winning a tournament, raise the table and can imitate this gesture of Messi. And afterwards, know it and give him this table", affirms.

What more is mad about him of Messi is the human part of the player of the FC Barcelona. "It dazzles me his human part. It shows to be simple, polite, of family, with values and codes. Messi has been very criticised during the last times with the selection of Argentina, but Muñiz has clear that a sportsman of elite always has to coexist with his detractores.

"The criticisms always go to be in the sportsmen. When better sos, tenés more people looking and go to want to that you do more than what podés. Be perhaps the main world-wide figure has to be very difficult. One is not always to 100% and the people asks more and more. And like this one never arrives...". To Muñiz also have criticised him by the fact to having chosen represent to Argentina and no to Brazil. "Yes, but no as much as to Messi, that receives criticise very unfair. I felt that I am so Argentinian... Luckily over time no longer, although I always am prepared to listen things that do not like me".

One of his big dreams is to have the opportunity to know to Messi in person. "Ojalá A day know it. Only I see it and I follow all what does when it plays with the Selection and with the Boat. It is the best of the world, and like a lot of Argentinians also enjoy it. Have a lot of luck to be represented in the world by a footballer like him". And also it dreams with arriving to the first place of the circuit of surf. "There are people that crosses me and says me "vos sos the Messi of the surf because hacés things that anybody does" and this fills me of emotion. It loves me that they say it to me, that compare me, although still it is missing me a lot to become what is he in his sport".
