The UEFA published this Tuesday the candidates to the Team of the Year 2020. The FC Barcelona says "present" with the nomination of his maximum star, Lionel Messi in masculine category. The feminine irradió with the nomination of eight players: Jenni Beautiful, Caroline Graham Hansen, Asisat Oshoala, Alexia Putellas, Kheira Hamraoui, Mapi León, Marta Torrejón and Sandra Cloths.
The elimination in the UEFA Champions League by part of the Bayern Munich justifies the scarce presence of the Barcelona club in the category, standing out the absence of figures like Ter Stegen, Antoine Griezmann and Of Jong. Likewise, the body rewarded the stood out season of the team directed by Lluís Cortés with eight nominations.
Bayern Munich And Olympique of Lyon, both valid champions of Champions in the masculine and feminine categories, contributed the greater quantity of candidates to the Team of the Year, with 10 and 13 nominations, respectively.
Fans will have the power in his hands
Vote of fans and attainments reached by the footballers, are the elements that will be at stake to determine the eleven winner of the Team of the Year of the UEFA. The results will be moderated by the signpost of Technical Observers of the UEFA, that also have validated the list of the nominated in masculine and feminine category.
The voters will have until 15 January to choose his eleven ideal in a list from among two lists of 50 players of elite: five goalkeepers, 15 defences, 15 midfield players and 15 forwards. In which they stand out the maximum stars of the big European clubs.
