Nico González lost a big opportunity in Valencia. It went back to the titularity for the first time from 10 March, in the gone of the eighth of final of the Europe League against the Galatasaray. In front of the Raise, signed a quite grey party and showed uncomfortable in the centre of the field, accompanied by Sergio Busquets and Frenkie of Jong. It was substituted to the 56 minutes.
The midfield player formed in The Masia was situated very near of Busquets from the beginning of the party, supporting to the 'capi', but failed in his mission, victim of the pressure asfixiante of a Raise that it jumped to the field as if it treated of a final and that cornered to the Barça in his field during big part of the first-half, in which the blaugrana showed quite a lot of problems in the medullary.
Nico did not comport like the differential player that yes went at the beginning of season and contributed very little fluidity to the game of his, being imprecise and 'unable' to read the movements of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or the own Ousmane Dembélé in the forward. It was a reflection, to be 'just', of what was being the Barça: a dense team and without idea of how advance further of his field.

Before the hour of party and after the Raise was 'benefited' by two penaltis, Xavi understood that it was moment to move the bench and try dinamizar to a Barça that seemed not having gas in the field. The egarense gave gone in in the 56' to Pedri González and Gavi; three minutes afterwards arrived the tie of Aubameyang and in the 63' the 1-2, marked by the one of Tegueste with assistance of Gavi.
In room of press, Xavi Hernández spoke on the changes of both interiors, standing out that no the 'signalled': "the other day also we did changes. At the end, we need to all", adding that "Nico and Frenkie also have done his effort to tighten high. This is the way to be followed. No always it can play of excellent way. We have not known to take advantage of his labeling to the man".
