The Japanese signature Konami has announced that will execute important modifications in his video game crashes, PES, where Gerard Piqué will be key
It has sucedido a historical Wednesday for the lovers of the video games. The Japanese mark Konami has announced that will delete of the market the famous Pro Evolution Soccer (PES). From the next delivery, which corresponds to the campaign 2021-22, will happen to designate 'eFootball'. A radical change that supposes the end of an era.
Although the change of name means a big impact, this will not be the only change. The video game will leave to commercialise like physical game and will sell only on-line in format free to play. However, no all are bad news: they will keep the agreements with clubs of the size of the FC Barcelona, the Bayern Munich, the Juventus of Turín, the Manchester United or the Arsenal.

The stray battle against the FIFA, of Electronic Arts Sports, is the main reason of this step backwards of the PES. His competitor possesses the majority of the licences of the football (competitions, clubs, players, marks…), and in the last years have known to explode the virtual competitions like the Ultimate Team.
This defeat reflects besides in economic terms. EA Finished 2020 with a net profit of 3.039 million dollars. Whereas by part of Konami, the numbers are not so optimistic. From 2019, his profits have gone in decline. They finished 2020 with 153,8 million euros. The electronic game evolves of a less swift way and at present contributes 60% of the total turnover.
I hammered, a key piece in the project
Gerard Hammered created a company efootball.pro in 2017, with the aim to create a virtual league between different clubs that have agreement with Konami and the Pro Evolution Soccer. Now, the Japanese mark that dispenses of the traditional name of the video game, want to promote the game and the on-line parties.
The circumstances have carried that the competition created by the central of the Barça have an important weight inside the company of Konami. The Japanese are betting by the on-line game and the only competitions to compete him to FIFA, the hegemony of the world of the simulators of football.
