The Barcelona will contest the 50ª edition of the Trophy Colombino

The Barça will debut in the pre-season 2014/15 the next 19 July against the Recreational of Huelva. The team of Luis Enrique already has marked in the calendar the day of his première. The Recreational will be the first rival of the FC Barcelona in the pre-season, team with which will confront with reason of the Trophy Colombino, the next 19 July from the 20.45 hours. This party is one of the main events of the celebration of the 125 anniversary of the Andalusian club and coincides also with the 50ª edition of this trophy, one of the classical of the Spanish football of pre-season.

The Barcelona team will arrive to the New Colombino with the players of the first team that have begun the trainings the day 14, and that they will be all those that have not contested the World-wide of Brazil. Besides, it is foreseen that they add some players of the Barça B, that also will begin the trainings by those dates and that they will be able to complete the team in front of the Recreational, that will have begun the preparation of the season the day 11.

This will be the third time that the Barça present in the Colombino, a trophy that still has not won never. The first party of the Barcelona in this tournament was in 1981, an edition in which it lost by 2-1 in front of the Athletic Club in the final, after surpassing to the Recreational in the semifinals. Five years afterwards, in 1986, arrived the second visit to the Colombino, but the Barça could not surpass to the Manchester City in the semifinals and lost in the batch of penaltis.

The Barça will not do turns of pre-season in 2014. The tightened calendar, with the World-wide of Brazil of by half, has done that the next season the sportive criteria prevail on the economic. It will use the formula of friendly parties, with trips of gone and turn. The usual turns will not do by reasons of calendar, since the World-wide of Brazil will finish on 13 July and the numerous international Barcelona will need rest before going back.

The dispute of the Trophy Colombino will be the première of the Barça of Luis Enrique in the pre-season, will be the Saturday 19 July to the 20.45 hours in front of the Recreational of Huelva. The friendly second of the summer will be the Saturday 2 August against the OGC Nice in the Allianz Riviera, and some days afterwards, the Wednesday 6 August to the 20 hours, will contest in Ginebra (Switzerland) the friendly party against the Naples. The Saturday 9 August, will confront to the HJK Helsinki in the Olympic Stadium of the Finnish capital and the dispute of the Trophy Joan Gamper will be on 18 August in front of the Club León of Guanajuato (Mexico), where plays the ex Barcelona Rafa Márquez.
