Aleix Garrido will end his time at Barça and leave for free after the subsidiary's relegation to Segunda RFEF
The midfielder of Barça Atlètic, Aleix Garrido, has decided to leave the Catalan team after more than a decade as a 'Blaugrana'. It is expected that the player will imminently sign a three-year contract (until 2028) with Eibar, a team in the Spanish second division.
According to the latest information, 'El Pequeño Profesor' made the decision to change clubs after the relegation of the 'Culé' subsidiary to Segunda RFEF. The player from Ripoll, at 21 years old, already has everything agreed to move to the Basque team, despite having a proposal from the recently relegated UD Las Palmas.
Aleix Garrido arrived at Can Barça in 2012 as a first-year 'benjamín'. During the 2024/25 season, he played 2,018 minutes in 25 matches, scoring two goals and providing a couple of assists, in addition to being the captain of the 'B' team.
Eibar and a midfield with a lot of talent
The incorporation of Aleix Garrido to Eibar will mean a rise in level in the midfield area of the 'Armeros'. The talent of the '8' of Barça Atlètic will give a plus of quality to the midfield of the team that finished ninth in LaLiga Hypermotion in the 2024/25 season.
Despite his young age, Garrido is one of the players with the greatest projection who leaves the 'Azulgrana' entity. In this way, the new coaching staff, led by Juliano Belletti, who will lead Barça Atlètic, loses another important piece.
It should be noted that the midfielder leaves for free, since his contract with Barcelona expires on June 30. Garrido's last renewal took place on April 28, 2023 with a termination clause of €400M.
Aleix Garrido's debut with the 'Culé' first team
During the 2022/23 season, under the orders of Xavi Hernández, the player from Ripoll managed to debut with the first team of FC Barcelona in a match against Elche. This match ended 0-4 in favor of the Barcelona team on matchday 27 of LaLiga.

On that occasion, Aleix Garrido entered the fray in the 84th minute, when the 'Culés' were already overwhelming the 'franjiverdes'. In that match, the midfielder replaced Ansu Fati.
