FC Barcelona continues to actively move to cover one of the clearest needs of the squad in this summer market : the signing of a left winger. In this sense, and despite the latest information suggesting a possible distancing from Nico Williams, bringing him closer to Bayern Munich (a team that, according to BILD, has already met with the player on two occasions), or even a renewal with Athletic Club, the reality could be different.

As revealed by the sports newspaper SPORT, Félix Tainta, agent of the Pamplona-born forward, and the Azulgrana sporting director, Deco, held a meeting this Friday in a hotel in Barcelona to discuss the options of reactivating the operation for the winger. An operation that, it should be remembered, was very close to being finalized in the past, but ultimately came to nothing.
For now, not much more information has emerged about what was discussed at the meeting. However, the simple fact that it has taken place makes it clear that for Barcelona, the 'Nico Williams' file is not, by any means, closed.

In recent weeks, it has emerged that the priority of the culé team would be Luis Díaz, from Liverpool. An attractive operation from a sporting point of view, but one that could be complicated from an economic point of view. It has been rumored that Barça would be willing to offer around 60 million euros for the Colombian, an amount that is far from the 80-85 'kilos' that the English team seems to demand.
On the other hand, the incorporation of Nico Williams would be more in line with the parameters that Barça can handle. The 'Lions' refer to the termination clause of €62M, a price that would allow him to leave without the need to negotiate.
