FC Barcelona finalized the signing of Alan Godoy this Saturday. The Catalans managed to 'steal' the 21-year-old striker from Real Madrid, who will join the reserve team.

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Alan Godoy is, as of this Saturday, a player for FC Barcelona. The 'gem' from Eldense turned down a move to Real Madrid, a team that had practically secured his signing, but ultimately Barcelona took advantage of some setbacks from the 'White House' in negotiations with the Alicante team to acquire the services of the 21-year-old striker until June 2027

The player from Las Palmas played a total of 13 matches (396 minutes) with Eldense, a team he joined 'for free' last summer from Alavés. In the 2023-24 season, Godoy scored 7 goals in 33 matches with Nàstic, in addition to providing 1 assist. Now, the Canarian arrives at Barça Atlètic with the mission of replacing Unai Hernández, who this week signed with Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia for 4.5 million euros.

So far, the club has not provided details about the cost of Alan's signing, but Barcelona is confident that his arrival will help Albert Sánchez's team climb positions in Group 1 of the Primera RFEF. Currently, the blue and garnet reserve team is in fifteenth place with 24 points, six points away from the 'play-off' zone (Tarazona is seventh with 30 points). However, the striker's debut was not the best this Saturday, just hours after signing his contract.

Hard debut for Alan Godoy with Barça Atlètic

Godoy made his debut with Barça Atlètic in the tough defeat of the reserve team against Real Sociedad B. The Canarian attacker came on for Landry after halftime, inheriting the '10' jersey from Unai Hernández. However, he could not do much to prevent the rout by a San Sebastián team that sealed the match with goals from Dani Díaz and Ruperez in the 72nd and 79th minutes. Mikel Goti had put the locals ahead in the first half at the 30th minute. Next Saturday, Alan will debut at the Johan Cruyff against Gimnástica Segoviana.
