Marc Casadó, a great revelation from Barça, is aiming to renew until 2030. The club wants to secure him as a piece for the future
The plan of the sports management of FC Barcelona seems to be quite clear at the moment. Before launching into the market in search of reinforcements for the next season, the main intention is to renew all the members of the team's backbone.
Not in vain, recently the azulgrana team renewed Hansi Flick (until 2027) and Raphinha (until 2028), with the expectation of launching the great news of Lamine Yamal's renewal very soon (until 2031). But before all this, he had already secured the continuity of key pieces such as:
- Pau Cubarsí (2029)
- Pedri González (2030)
- Gavi (2030)
- Ronald Araújo (2031)
Renewal of Marc Casadó: Barcelona secures its future
Therefore, it is not surprising that FC Barcelona now wants to renew one of its great youth players, who had a stellar breakthrough in the first team during the 2024/25 season: Marc Casadó. According to 'SPORT', the Catalan team has already begun negotiations to extend the contract of the player from Sant Pere de Vilamajor, currently valid until June 30, 2028, for two more years, that is, until 2030.
Likewise, it is said that this new link will place Casadó at the same contractual level as other important assets of the club, and that, given the good harmony between both parties, the agreement should not take long to close and could be signed before the start of the preseason. It is even not ruled out that it will be made official in the coming days.
Casadó's new contract: An award for his great season
With this move, Barcelona would show Marc Casadó that they are counting on him as an important piece for the future. The midfielder signed a great 2024/25 season, in which only a partial tear of the external lateral ligament of the right knee could stop his meteoric rise, leaving him out of the field for almost two months.
Even so, in the 36 matches he played, he added 2,447 minutes, with a total of one goal and six assists, making it clear that he is a more than valuable alternative to reinforce the pivot position. Casadó stood out for his physical display and his good defensive performance, being ideal to recover balls in the midfield area. He also adapts naturally to the game system, actively participating in the circulation of the ball with great fluidity.
