The Saudi league will go all out for Robert Lewandowski this summer. At least two clubs are willing to offer a fortune to the '9' of FC Barcelona with a mega contract for 2 or 3 seasons

Robert Lewandowski will have at least a couple of very appealing offers from the Arab league at the end of the 2024/25 season. The '9', who practically has another year of contract secured with FC Barcelona (he must play at least 55% of the official matches this season), was already tempted by Saudi millions in 2024, but his response was a resounding "no." Beyond the age factor, the 36-year-old forward has confirmed his relevance with goals in the 24/25 season.

'Lewy' is still in the race for the Golden Boot with 30 goals in 32 matches with Barça. Since Hansi Flick's arrival, the Warsaw native has regained the sharpness that characterized him in his best seasons in Germany and, for now, he does not seem to have any intention of leaving Catalonia, where he feels very comfortable with his wife. However, the mega contract being prepared in Arabia could make him change his mind, as it would secure him at least two years as one of the highest-paid players on the planet.

Barça will respect Lewandowski's final decision

In this regard, Barça's stance is clear regarding the future of the '9'. Robert will have total freedom to decide whether to stay or go, although the board is still scouring the market for a 'top' center forward for the next transfer window. Names like Viktor Gyökeres and Alexander Isak have been strongly mentioned since late 2024, although the club still does not have the financial capacity necessary to amortize a high transfer fee.

Therefore, Lewy's departure presents a financial relief for Barça if, ultimately, the Pole agrees to move to Arabia or another league with enough financial power to take on his high salary. In his last year of contract, the forward will earn 26 million euros gross, 6 'kilos' less than what he earns this season. Moreover, his transfer would leave a figure close to 10M€ in the club's coffers, a reasonable amount considering that it would be his last year of contract and that, in August, the player will turn 37 years old.
