Harry Kane is strongly rumored to be on Barça's radar for the summer of 2026. The Englishman's contract with Bayern runs until 2027, and the Bavarians, for now, do not see his renewal as a clear prospect

FC Barcelona is beginning to see the potential signing of Harry Kane in 2026 as feasible. The English forward will turn 33 after the World Cup and continues to demonstrate full validity at Bayern Munich, with whom he has already scored 108 goals in 113 official matches in almost two and a half seasons.

The Blaugrana squad sees the signing of a '9' as a priority for 2026/27, provided that Robert Lewandowski ends up leaving at the end of the current season. The Pole has seen his performance decline due to some muscular problems and, at 37 years old, he remains an important player for Hansi Flick, although he is no longer an undisputed starter in the Culer XI

'Lewy' has only started 5 of Barça's 16 games in 25/26, having missed 4 matches due to injury. Even so, he has scored 7 goals in 12 appearances, the same as 'Tiburón'. For now, the player is willing to renew, but understands it is still too early to make a decision. A stance shared by the Barça board.

How much would Bayern ask for Harry Kane?

Kane, on the other hand, has had a brilliant start to the season with Bayern. The Englishman has already scored 23 goals in 17 games for Vincent Kompany's side, 13 of them in the Bundesliga and another 5 in the Champions League.

The Londoner maintains an exceptional physical condition at 32 years old and, although his contract expires in 2027, his future is already a cause for concern in Munich. This is because the idea of letting him leave for 'free' in 2027 does not please the club's board, which is why, if the forward decides against renewing in 2026, he will be put up for sale.

In Germany, the latest information indicates that Bayern would accept around 65 million euros for Harry next summer. The Bavarians paid 95 'kilos' to Tottenham for his transfer in 2023, but the age factor is already affecting the English goalscorer's market value.

Currently, Kane is valued at around €75 million on 'Transfermarkt', €15 million less than he was worth when he left the 'Spurs'. Furthermore, his salary is around €25 million gross, a similar amount to what Lewandowski earns at Barça.

Kane, a signing within Barça's economic reach

In that sense, the signing of Harry Kane is by no means an impossible objective for Barcelona in 2026. **The club will be able to operate under the 1:1 rule next summer**, without Financial Fair Play limitations, which means they will have no problem amortizing a transfer in the region of 70-80 million euros.

The blaugrana team paid €55 million for Dani Olmo in 2024 and €58 million for Raphinha a couple of years earlier, these being the most expensive signings of Joan Laporta's second term. Kane would be within this range, with an affordable price considering the average price of other 'top' goalscorers.

Likewise, the English international would also prioritize a Barcelona offer, beyond the millions that clubs from Arabia or the Premier League itself might offer him. At 33 years old, the Bayern striker is confident he can continue adding titles in Europe for several more seasons, just as Lewandowski did after leaving the Bavarian team in 2022.

Barça also has names like Julián Álvarez and Erling Haaland on the table, two much more complicated options financially, but there is still a lot of work to be done between now and the opening of the next summer transfer window. What does seem almost certain is that the club will go for another goalscorer, provided 'Lewy' and Ferran do not have a record-breaking season.
