FC Barcelona is determined to pay Nico Williams' release clause. A disbursement that will involve the payment of €58M plus the corresponding CPI, and that the culé team apparently already has stipulated when it will pay to Athletic Club.

As reported in Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan team hopes to be able to pay the release clause of the Pamplona-born forward between July 1 and 2. An operation that would be carried out on those dates for a purely accounting reason, with the aim of charging the payment to the economic year of the 2025/26 season.
