Bayern Munich is not giving up in the 'race' for Nico Williams. Although the Bavarians know that the winger from Athletic Club prioritizes playing for FC Barcelona next season, the Munich board will make one last effort to try to convince the Basque forward to accept a much more lucrative contract in Germany.
In this regard, the German magazine 'Kicker' leaked the return of the Bayern CEO, Max Eberl, to Munich to lead the negotiations with the Bilbao 'crack'. In the midst of the Club World Cup, the Bavarians know that this is the time to move their chips for Nico, after a week in which Barça has resumed his signing as an absolute priority.
The player from Pamplona and his agent, Félix Tainta, have made it clear to the culés their desire to wear the blaugrana shirt, although the club still does not have enough money to amortize the transfer. Athletic refers to the full payment of his termination clause (58 million euros) to let him go and that is the factor that Bayern wants to take advantage of.
Nico Williams and Bayern's strategy to convince him
