Nicolas Jackson: In England they insist on a possible interest from Barça

The management of FC Barcelona does not seem to have completely closed the doors to possible new additions. For this reason, sources from England continue to point out that the Blaugrana team would be evaluating the signing of Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson.

Although, according to recent rumors, the attacker is a player who is very pleasing at Can Barca and they contemplate him as a real possibility, he is not a priority option, considering that interest in other players could also arise.

Despite this, the club's president, Joan Laporta, has already opened the possibility of going out to look for new additions, arguing that they must have more troops. “As a club, we have to have more players than usual and that means we have to invest more”, pointed out the Blaugrana president.

The 'crazy' price that Chelsea demands for Nicolas Jackson

In the event that Barça decides to launch into the transfer market to acquire the services of Nico Jackson, it would only be through a loan, since Chelsea is asking for an exorbitant amount for the forward, who has a contract until 2033.

In this sense, the 'blue' team would have valued the '15' at 95 million euros to seal a definitive transfer, a figure that Barcelona would not even consider trying to reach in the 2025 transfer market.

Likewise, according to Transfermarkt, the Nigerian has a value of 50 'kilos', that is, 45 M€ less than what the London team is asking for. Of course, other Premier League clubs could reach this price.

It should be noted that, currently, the player receives a net salary of 6.2 million euros per year. In the event that the Blaugrana team negotiates a loan, the Catalan club should assume most of that fee, around 4 or 5 M€. 

What can Nico Jackson offer Barcelona?

The 24-year-old forward has proven his worth in the Premier League, where he has stood out for his speed, dynamism and ability to finish in the area. In addition, he has a physique that would allow him to provide support to the team with the high pressure that coach Hansi Flick likes so much.

Similarly, Nico would like the idea of joining a team like Barça, although there are other interested teams. For now, he remains preparing for the 2025/26 season, after leaving behind last season where he scored 13 goals and provided 6 assists in 37 games.

Jackson, amid the speculation, would only be waiting to see if Barça makes moves for him. Both the player and his environment would be willing to analyze any proposal, as long as Chelsea agrees to negotiate a loan move.
