Problems for Real Madrid: Alexander-Arnold will not arrive for free!

Trent Alexander-Arnold will be a Real Madrid player from next season. The full-back confirmed his departure from Liverpool, with whom he ends his contract in June, to sign as a free agent with the 'Casa Blanca'.

However, the arrival of the English international to Chamartín, contrary to what everyone thought, will not be at 'zero cost'. Because his link with the 'reds' ends on June 30, the 26-year-old defender can only debut with the 'merengue' team from July 1.

Madrid debuts in the Club World Cup on June 18 against Saudi Al Hilal and, therefore, would be forced to pay around 5 million euros to Liverpool to release Alexander-Arnold.

Thus, if the whites want to have him from next week, they will have to pay 5 million euros. Xabi Alonso prioritizes having his new reinforcements as soon as possible to prepare for the tournament. For now, the club has only confirmed the signing of Dean Hujsen and hopes to close the arrival of Álvaro Carreras soon.
