Several Real Madrid players are going through their worst moment in the 'merengue' team. Therefore, the club seeks to continue strengthening. How many signings will the club make?

Calendar of FC Barcelona

With Real Madrid's elimination from the Club World Cup as a catalyst, the 'blanco' team now faces a new reality: its market plan now has many more doubts than certainties, as the 'merengue' team faces greater needs for the 2025/26 season.

That is why the team led by Xabi Alonso is targeting several fronts with the intention of reinforcing and, on the other hand, perhaps also letting go of some surprise names.

Rodrygo and Endrick could leave Madrid this summer

In this context, both Rodrygo Goes and Endrick would be going through their lowest hours as players of the merengue team. The '11', according to recent rumors, would be in the orbit of Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, who would be thinking of offering between 70 and 90 million euros for the player, an amount that Madrid could accept.

However, the right winger would prefer to stay and fight for a place. Although, the scenario he would face under the orders of Xabi Alonso would not be easy at all, especially considering that during the Club World Cup he barely had 92 minutes in 6 games.

For his part, Endrick, with little prominence during the past season with Carlo Ancelotti and out due to injury in the World Cup, would be among the players that Olympique de Marseille and PSV Eindhoven are interested in.

Both teams will play in the UEFA Champions League 2025/26 and want to form competitive teams that can compete with the giants of Europe. Likewise, Madrid would already be aware of the intentions of these teams, who apparently would like to add the '16' on loan.

The emergence of Gonzalo García in the Club World Cup —with 4 goals and presence as a starter in all the matches— has generated a new competitive scenario in the offensive front of Real Madrid, complicating the panorama for the cariocas, since Kylian Mbappé and Vinicius Jr. are the fixed players on the wings.

Real Madrid's defense is leaking: Asencio, the one pointed out

Real Madrid's defense was the subject of criticism throughout the 2024/25 season because it was never solvent, conceding 84 goals. For the Club World Cup it was expected that with the incorporations of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen things would take a different course, but PSG revived their ghosts with a tough thrashing in the 'semis'.

Likewise, it was expected that the youth player Raúl Asencio would become the new emerging figure of 'La Fábrica' after the physical problems of Éder Militao and David Alaba, whose contract expires in June 2026. However, his poor performance at the end of the season has left him pointed out.

Carreras is already 'blanco'; Konaté, Madrid's next target

Real will add left-back Álvaro Carreras, from Benfica, in exchange for 50 million euros that will be paid in three installments. This signing is due to the physical problems of Ferland Mendy and the fact that Fran García would not end up convincing the coaching staff.

As for the center-back area, the 'Casa Blanca' has begun to comb the market with the intention of adding a center-back who can partner with Huijsen or Antonio Rudiger.

Thus, the club from the Spanish capital would already be evaluating the possibility of acquiring the services of Ibrahima Konaté, the Liverpool defender whose contract expires in the summer of 2026 and would not be thinking of renewing because he would be wanting to join Madrid.

The 'reds', in case of accepting a transfer, expect at least 50 M€, while the 'blancos' would think of offering between 30 and 40 'kilos'. Thus, there are many market movements that Real Madrid can make in the next month and a half of the market, with the aim of assembling a team capable of stopping Barça in 25/26.
