What happened with Joan García's registration? We tell you why Barça hasn't registered him with LaLiga yet
The registration of Joan García continues to generate debate. Although the statement issued by FC Barcelona on the night of Wednesday, August 13, assured that the goalkeeper would be registered with LaLiga on Thursday, August 14, the reality was different.
Thursday passed and the name of the goalkeeper from Sallent still does not appear registered among the available players of the Azulgrana team for the start of the championship against RCD Mallorca, scheduled for Saturday, August 16. This generates an inevitable question: is there any problem with the registration of the Catalan goalkeeper?

Joan García's Registration in LaLiga and Marcus Rashford's Situation
The situation, however, is far from being a drama. According to Diario AS, the officialization of Joan García's registration will take place on Friday, August 15. The reason for the delay? Barcelona, in a last-minute move, also tried to register Marcus Rashford, whose registration depends on the guarantee approved by the Azulgrana board and which is still under review by LaLiga.
Under this premise, there should be no doubt about the availability of Joan García for the match against RCD Mallorca. As for Rashford, as previously reported, his incorporation is conditional on the arrival, evaluation, and approval of all the documentation linked to the guarantee authorized by the club last Wednesday.
What about the other pending registrations?
On the other hand, the approval of the club's auditor, Crowe Global, regarding the lever of €100M corresponding to the VIP seats is key. If approved, Barcelona would comply with the 1:1 rule and could register all the players pending registration.
- 📌 THE FACT: It has not been reported whether LaLiga has registered the 10 'kilos' that the Azulgrana team will receive this season from the agreement with the Republic of Congo.
Among the most complicated registrations that may not be ready for the debut against RCD Mallorca are those of Wojciech Szczęsny —whose new renewal contract until 2027 has not been registered with LaLiga— and Gerard Martín —a player who, upon turning 23, can no longer have a reserve team card and must be registered with the first team—, while players like Marc Bernal and Roony Bardghji could be available with a card from Barça Atlètic, which is a relief for Hansi Flick.
