If there is a club on the international scene that seems to need a real 'shake-up' in its sports project, that is Manchester United. The team led by Rúben Amorim is far from its best days of glory, signing a 2024/25 season to forget:

  1. 15th in the Premier League
  2. Europa League: Runner-up
  3. Community Shield: Runner-up
  4. EFL Cup: Quarter-finals
  5. FA Cup: Fourth round

A disastrous season that has left the team out of all European competition, which has set off alarms at Old Trafford. With this scenario, strong decisions are expected in the next transfer market. Beyond possible incorporations —such as Matheus Cunha, from Wolverhampton— the 'Red Devils' would be planning a real clear-out in the squad.

Bruno Fernandes, Garnacho and company: no one is non-transferable at Manchester United

According to the 'Daily Mirror', Manchester United is willing to listen to offers for all its players. Elimination from European competitions means a major economic blow for the 'Red Devils', who have already faced budget cuts and massive layoffs among club staff. The crisis goes beyond the pitch, and those responsible consider it essential to make significant sales to clean up the accounts and free up salary mass.

THE LIST OF PLAYERS THAT THE 'RED DEVILS' COULD PUT ON SALE THIS SUMMER:

Fishing in troubled waters? Barcelona, attentive

In this context, FC Barcelona could be attentive to several opportunities. Although he does not appear on the list of transferable players with the highest market value, Marcus Rashford would be one of the names on the departure ramp. The English striker does not fit into Amorim's plans and was already linked with the Barça club as a versatile option for the attack.

Even, his incorporation was considered during the past winter market, but it did not materialize for economic reasons. Now, with an estimated price of 40 million pounds (about 47 M€), according to Fabrizio Romano, the Barça club should assess whether it can face the operation or, failing that, negotiate a possible loan with a salary reduction included.

Garnacho, Ugarte and Dalot: more options for Barça?

Another player who, speculatively, could fit into Barcelona's plans is Alejandro Garnacho. The young Argentine winger has already been linked in the past to the Catalan team as an explosive option to reinforce the left side of the attack. With speed, dribbling, goal and a remarkable ability to unbalance, the Madrid native fits the profile sought by the Barça sports management.

However, his departure would not be cheap at all. According to the 'Daily Mail', United would not let him go for less than 60-70 million pounds (between 70 and 80 million euros).

Another interesting name is that of Manuel Ugarte, a defensive midfielder who has been linked with Barça on more than one occasion. His intensity, recovery capacity and physical deployment make him an attractive alternative for the culé pivot.

Finally, Diogo Dalot is once again rumored as a possible reinforcement for the right-back. Although he was already of interest in the past, his price —according to reports from December— would be around 50 M€, a high amount for a player who would not arrive as an undisputed starter, although as an interesting profile to complement Jules Koundé.
