FC Barcelona is making progress on the Camp Nou works and does not rule out playing the match against Real Sociedad on September 28 at the Azulgrana stadium.
Fútbol Club Barcelona is keeping open the possibility of returning to the new Spotify Camp Nou on September 28, in the match corresponding to matchday 7 of LaLiga EA Sports 25/26 against Real Sociedad. The club has released images of the current state of the works at the stadium, where accesses, interior lobbies and restaurant areas are practically finished.
The Barça-Real Sociedad match is scheduled for Sunday, September 28 at 6:30 p.m., after the time change requested by the Barcelona City Police to avoid coinciding with the Piromusical that closes the Mercè festivities. The fireworks display will take place at 10:00 p.m., so it will not interfere with the match. Although there is still no official confirmation, the Camp Nou option is gaining ground.

Visible progress in the works of the new Camp Nou
The images published by Fútbol Club Barcelona show the good pace of the works in various areas of the stadium. The main accesses are already defined and the interior lobbies have a modern look, ready to welcome fans back home. Although the club is working with the option of playing at the Camp Nou, the possibility that the Barça-Real Sociedad match will be played in Montjuïc is still on the table. The Estadi Olímpic is already prepared, with new turf and some 7,000 seats relocated, which ensures a valid alternative if the reopening of the Camp Nou does not arrive in time.
Fútbol Club Barcelona and UEFA have already confirmed that the Champions League match against PSG on October 1 will be played at the Estadi Olímpic, so the return to the Camp Nou could take place on a one-off basis only for the match against Real Sociedad.

The coincidence of the match with the Mercè festivities forced the modification of the initial schedule of the Barça-Real Sociedad (9 p.m.) to avoid mobility problems in the city.
