Historical agreement: The works of the Espai Barça will begin in 2019

After a lot of months of blockade, finally the president of the FC Barcelona and the mayor of the City Condal, Josep Maria Bartomeu and Ada Colau, have arrived to an agreement to set up of face to the year 2019 the works of the Espai Barça, that have like aim transform the Camp Nou and his surroundings, and that will suppose a big impact in the Catalan capital.

After months of delay in the negotiations, the two parts have converged in a new agreement that has the beneplácito of all the groups of the opposition to exception of the CUP, and that foresees to reduce the total of the edificaciones planned for tertiary uses to a maximum of 28.000 square metres, to end to situate the uses of hoteleros offices, restoration and commercial.

The FC Barcelona will invest 10 million euros in installations to seat the bases of the back transformation of the stadium, but is foreseen that the big works do not initiate until finals of June of 2019, after it have reached an agreement regarding the management of the green space of Them Corts, as well as his equipments.

Historical agreement for the new Camp Nou

In total, the FC Barcelona will have to invest 122,37 million euros, especially in the following fields: subterranean parking (65,56 millions), works of urbanisation in public floor (27,88 millions) and urbanisation of a private plot (13,83 millions).

More space in the surroundings of the Camp Nou
