Ivan Rakitic receives the prize to the 'fair-play' of the season 17-18

This Friday, Ivan Rakitic has been awarded with the Prize Barça Players that distinguishes him like the footballer of the first team with more clean game of the past season 2017-18. The Croatian midfield player has won to pulse such recognition thanks to a tactical game but also very noble.

The Prize Barça Players is delivered by the Grouping Barça Players (ABJ). The jury of the present edition has decided to reward this year to Rakitic, as it has explained Ramon Alfonseda, president of the grouping, since it has "valued your capacity of adaptation, effort and simplicity that always has showed".

The event of delivery of the prize has taken place this Friday and has had Josep Maria Bartomeu, president of the FC Barcelona,  Jordi Mestre, vice-president of the club, the managerial Javier Embroider and Pau Vilanova and the already mentioned Ramón Alfonseda. All they have appreciated to Rakitic so much his commitment with the club like the decision to remain in spite of the offer of Paris Saint-Germain.

The true is that Ivan Rakitic keeps on being an essential footballer for the FC Barcelona by all the offensive and defensive virtues that offers. Along the years, the Croat has gone reinventing in base to the needs of the team and has happened to play in the mediapunta, as it did in the Seville before arriving to the Camp Nou, to sacrifice in a more retarded position.

Ivan Rakitic also wanted to show ss gratitude to the FC Barcelona for awarding him the prize and remembered that it is engaged to the maximum with the team: "Only I can give the graces. I am in the biggest club of the world and is very special. I go it to give everything by the club and my commitment is the maximum. I enjoy each day to be here and each day go with a smile to the work. This trophy goes to have a very special place in my house".

The Croatian midfield player recognised that his goal against the Tottenham in Champions League was one of the most beautiful of his career, but reiterated the importance to win LaLiga, since it is "the best of Europe and there is not easy party. Have you a lot of illusion in winning the League. I carry four seasons aqui and already have added three. We go to give it everything".

There is not doubt that Rakitic will have a paper importantísimo in the FC Barcelona, that will need of his talent to opt to all the titles. By the moment, the team already has showed that it can hurt to a so big team like the Tottenham, by what the team has won moral.
