Laporta busts out with Barça in the club’s offering in the Diada de Catalunya

Joan Laporta headed the delegation of the FC Barcelona that participated this Monday in the traditional floral offering to the monument to Rafael Casanova to celebrate the Diada National of Catalonia. The 11 September commemorates , from 1886, the day in which the soldiers of the troops borbónicas of Felipe V assaulted the Catalan capital.

In this occasion the president of the Barcelona entity remembered that the club always has erigido "in the defence of the rights and the freedoms" of Catalonia. Accompanying to Lapòrta were footballers like the Balloon of Gold Alexia Putellas and Oriol Romeu, in addition to members stood out of the directive like the vice-presidents Rafael Yuste, Elena Fort and Eduard Romeu.

In the continuation of his intervention, Laporta signalled that "so much in time of democracy as in the darkness of dictatorships, the Barça has erigido in the defence of the rights and freedoms of Catalonia, and will go on doing it", ensured. "As every year and already it does a few, the FC Barcelona, institution deeply democratic, have the honour to be presents in this offering, a tradition of which already does more than 100 years participate. Have the duty to be faithful to our history and congregation to our foundational essences, that are those that explain because we are more than a club", explained Laporta.

The FC Barcelona supports Morocco

Before finalising, the president of the Barça equally left to know that the Catalan club will support actions of humanitarian aid for the affected by the earthquake in Morocco, that has caused until the moment the death of more than 2.000 people. "We support the victims of the earthquake that has sucedido in Morocco and has caused so much pain. We announce that, through our foundation, will give support to actions of humanitarian aid", affirmed Laporta.
