Nikken Sekkei Will build the New Camp Nou by 600 millions

The last step that was missing him to the FC Barcelona for this was the one to choose the signature that will commission to do a historical construction, and did does hardly a month, being the Japanese study Nikken Sekkei the chosen to execute the plans of the directive headed by Josep Maria Bartomeu.

The vote was unanimous in favour of the Japanese group, that has more than 100 years of history inside the world of the architecture. The Jury that put of agreement was formed by 9 members: 5 of the FC Barcelona, 3 of the School of Architects of Catalonia (COAC) and 1 of the City council of Barcelona. By part of the Barça, in the vote were present the president Josep Maria Bartomeu, Susana Monk, Jordi Moix, Emili Rouxaud and the architect Juan Pablo Mitjans, son of the responsible of the work of the Camp Nou in the years fifty Francesc Mitjans.

For this Espai Barça and New Camp Nou, that will suppose a change no longer only in the Barcelona stadium, but also in the Palau Blaugrana, where play different sections, as well as the Mini Estadi, presupuestaron a total of 600 million euros. Of these, 360 millions (60%) will be allocated for the Nou Camp Nou, 15% for the Palau, 4% for the Mini Estadi and the rest will be allocated for the urbanisation of Them Corts, Campus Barça and parkings.

The partners of the FC Barcelona voted in his day in referendum and approved the plan with a wide majority. A total of 72,3% of the votes was for the himself, turned into 27.161 partners. 9.589, that is to say 25,5%, said no to the project. With this vote of the past 5 April 2014 gave the starting signal to the ambitious project that keeps the current board.

Nikken Sekkei, that was the favourite signature, imposed in the vote to Big Idom Bast (the parents of the new Saint Mamés), HKS Cox Batlle i Roig and Popolous Miss RCR, those who created the Emirates Stadium of the Arsenal. The new stadium of the FC Barcelona expects that it begin to build in 2017 and is foreseen that it finish for the year 2021, although the works could lengthen a year more. The first team will not leave in any moment to play in the current Camp Nou until the work was finish.
