Planted the first stone of the Stadium Johan Cruyff

The FC Barcelona already works in the 'Espai Barça' and this Thursday has produced a symbolic act very important. Today it has planted the first stone of the future 'Stadium Johan Cruyff', that will substitute to the 'Mini Estadi'. And it has been a 14 September, that, as it has explained the president Josep Maria Bartomeu, has not been chosen at random, but the Club has wanted to that fuerto a homage to Johan Cruyff, that lució the numbers '14' and '9' along his sportive career.

The act has had the presence of the president Josep Maria Bartomeu; the first vice-president Jordi Cardoner; the vice-president Jordi Mestre; the commissioner of the Espai Barça, Jordi Moix; the managerial Ramon Pont, Silvio Elías, Josep Ramon Vidal-Cover, Jordi Calsamiglia, Maria Teixidor, Oriol Tomás, Xavier Vilajoana, and the executive director of the Club, Òscar Grau. By part of the family Cruyff, have been present Danny Cruyff, widower of Johan Cruyff, and his daughters, Susila and Chantal, in addition to other members of the family.

"This project is not of this managerial board but of all the partners. I want to appreciate to the president Josep Lluís Núñez, the one who bought these terrains and he initiated The Masia. To the president Joan Gaspart that put the first pieda of this Ciutat Esportiva. And to Joan Laporta that followed the works and inaugurated the installations. Also to Sandro Rosell, the one who was the one who gave the final impulse to the new Masia", explained Bartomeu in statements collected by 'Sport'.

A lovely stadium

The Stadium Johan Cruyff will be a modern and efficient installation with capacity for 6.000 viewers and will have a big visibility from all the seats covered. The architectural proposal of Batlle and Roig Architecture, that won the contest developed in 2015, characterises by his asymmetric profile, with a high grandstand of 1.000 viewers and a low terracing of 5.000 viewers with integral cover that confers him personality and that inspires in the ancient field of the street Industry.

The terracing of the stadium has 360 degrees, embraces to the public in all his perimeter and confers a unitary reading of the group. The corners in shape circulate generate the maximum vicinity between the viewers and the players and this does that these seat accompanied.
