Barça gets rid of UEFA sanctions for financial fair play

In the most recent report of the First Room of the Committee of Financial Control of Clubs (CFCB), the body has considered that the FC Barcelona has fulfilled "technically with the requirement of balance thanks to the application of the measures of emergency of the COVID-19 and/or because they benefited of results of historical positive balance". The CFCB, chaired by Sunil Gulati, has announced this Friday some decisions that involve to the clubs that participated in the competitions of clubs of the UEFA 2021/22. Finally, the UEFA has sanctioned to eight clubs for breaking the Fair Play Financial: the Juventus, the PSG, the Olympique of Marseilles, the Monaco, the Milan, the Rome, the Inter and the Besiktas.

"These eight clubs accumulate some losses of 172 million euros. The amounts will retain of the income that the teams obtain for participating in competitions of clubs of the UEFA or will pay directly. Of this quantity, 26 million euros (15%) will pay entirely whereas the remaining balance of 146 million euros (85%) remains conditioned to the fulfillment by part of these clubs of the aims established in the respective agreement of settlement", explains the CFCB.

The information also aims that to arrive to these conclusions, have analysed the financial years desdel 2018 until the 2022. The exercises financiacieros of the 2020 and 2021 were subjects to the measures of emergency Covid, and were evaluated like an alone period, allowing to the clubs adjust specific combining the deficits of both years.

Except the Rome and the Inter of Milan, all the clubs have opted by an agreement of resolution of 3 years. In east, the teams agree to fulfil with the rule of gains of football during the season 2025/26. They engage to reach objective annual intervals and to the application of financial and sportive measures conditional in case of incumplimiento of said aims. The other teams chose the agreement of settlement of 4 years. This, provides an additional season to fulfil with the rule of gains of football, but includes unconditional sportive restrictions in the register of new applicable players from the season 2022/23.

Besides, the CS Santa Clara and the RSC Anderlecht communicated incumplimientos lower to the requirements of balance. To the Portuguese club has imposed him a fine of 10.000 euros, and to the Belgian group of 100.000.
