Javier Faus has explained that the project of the new Camp Nou, with a cost of 600 million euros, would fund mostly with own resources and that in no case would put in risk the sportive excellence
The project of the new Camp Nou would have a cost of 600 million euros, 420 of which allocated to the new Stadium and 90, to the new Palau. The 90 remaining would allocate , among others, to parkings, the Space Barça or the new Miniestadi. A cost that Javier Faus has explained that it would fund in eight years (2016-2024), mostly with own resources. "We will not mortgage a whole generation of barcelonistas to pay this project. We have descartado spill of partners and big extraneous contributions to the Club. What himself that would involve is that the Club would have to continue managing of a sustainable way", has affirmed the economic vice-president of the Barça.
Javier Faus also has remarked that, following the indications of the president Sandro Rosell, the finance of this project does not have to affect in no case the sportive project: "it treats of a new Camp Nou sustainable economically and that do not put in risk the sportive excellence".
Finance of the project
There would be four main sources of finance. Faus Has advanced that it has renounced to give the name of the Stadium to a sponsor but that yes that there would be the option that a commercial mark put the surname. A road that could give some 150 million euros and that would involve to have the name of this hypothetical commercial mark some 20 or 25 years. Other 50 millions would obtain after winning some commercial spaces or hoteleros and do the timely grantings.
The rest would be fruit of the own resources. On the one hand, taking into account that the debt of the Club would have reduced -the Board foresees to close the mandate with 200 million debt-, would ask a new credit sindicado of 200 million euros and the others 200 would go out of what Faus has appointed "internal finance". "It is necessary to follow reducing the debt and, therefore, follow generating these 30 annual millions that generate up to now. Besides, with the new project, have to generate 30 additional millions", has ensured the economic vice-president. A form to generate these additional income would be with more seats Hospitality, Ticketing or more income of the static advertising and LED.
