Barça could pay 58 million for Nico Williams, a figure that would place him among the ten most expensive signings in the club's history
Everything seems to indicate that Nico Williams will be the second signing of FC Barcelona in the summer market of the 2025/26 season. This has been reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano, who asserted that there would already be a agreement sealed with the player. Only the payment of the termination clause to Athletic Club would remain to be finalized, estimated at €58M nominal, or 62 'kilos' if adjusted to the CPI.

If finalized in this way, the culé team would sign its second 'clausulazo' in the current market, after that of Joan García, and the sixth in its entire history. In turn, according to data from Transfermarkt, the arrival of Nico Williams would be positioned as one of the most expensive operations in the club's history.
Indeed, the incorporation of the left winger from Pamplona, under these terms, would be the ninth most expensive signing in Barcelona's history.

It would be one of the great sales of Athletic Club
In the event that Barcelona pays the €58M of the termination clause for Nico Williams, this operation would become the third highest sale in the history of Athletic Club, only surpassed by:
- Aymeric Laporte to Manchester City (2017/18) for 65 million.

Will the transfer of the youngest of the Williams brothers to Barça be finalized? Only the market has the answer. For now, the prospects are more than positive.
