Robert Lewandowski finished in 17th place in the voting for the 2025 Ballon d'Or. The Pole, FC Barcelona's top scorer in 24/25 with 42 goals in 52 games, failed to get close to the top of the standings, but at 37 years of age, he remains fully valid as one of the most lethal strikers on the planet.

The Barça '9' surpassed Scott McTominay (Naples, 18th), Joao Neves (Paris Saint-Germain, 19th) and Lautaro Martínez (Inter Milan, 20th) in a list with surprises, as many expected 'Lewy' and Lautaro himself to get closer to the TOP-10.

Last season, Lewandowski was Barça's Pichichi and second top scorer in LaLiga with 27 goals. A muscular injury prevented him from arriving in good condition for the last month of the season, but even so he rounded off spectacular records.

In the Champions League, he scored 11 goals, while in the Copa (3) and Supercopa (2) he also made his contribution to help the 'culés' win the national treble (Liga, Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup).

Lewandowski finishes one place below Vinicius Jr.

At 37 years of age, the Polish striker finished in 17th place in the 'France Football' voting, one place below Vinicius Jr. The Brazilian went from being second in the previous edition to sixteenth this year, being the most notable drop among the finalists of the past edition.

Rodri Hernández, 2024 Ballon d'Or, did not enter the 30 finalists due to the serious cruciate ligament injury he suffered at the beginning of the 24/25 season. Ahead of the Real Madrid '7' appear Viktor Gyökeres (Arsenal, 15th), Desiré Doué (Paris Saint-Germain, 14th), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich, 13th) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (Paris Saint-Germain, 11th).

Pedri González (FC Barcelona) finished in 11th place, one step away from entering the TOP-10. A decision that is at least striking, since the 'azulgrana' midfielder is, by far, the best in the world in his demarcation for several months.
