New snub from the Real Madrid board to Barcelona before the Clásico

The traditional meal between executives before the Clásico will once again be suspended prior to the decisive Barça-Madrid match on Sunday, for matchday 35 of LaLiga, in Montjuïc. Find out why!
FC Barcelona and Real Madrid will define this Sunday the title of LaLiga EA Sports 2024/25 in Montjuïc. Both teams arrive at the match of the 35th round separated by only 4 points, with the same number of matches to play and at a critical moment in their institutional relations.
And, this Sunday, there will also be no meal between executives prior to the match and Florentino Pérez has already ruled out traveling to Catalonia to accompany the 'merengue' squad. The Madrid president was also not present at the dinner prior to the Copa del Rey final and only briefly shared with Joan Laporta and the RFEF board during the award ceremony at La Cartuja.
Florentino Pérez, increasingly distant from everything related to LaLiga

Florentino was also not in Montjuïc last season during the league match they played in October 2023 (victory for the Whites by 1-2) nor in the last Liga Clásico at the Spotify Camp Nou played in March of that year (Barcelona victory by 2-1), although his relationship with Joan Laporta remains cordial.
In fact, the president of the 'Casa Blanca' was also not present in most of Madrid's matches this season away from home, a clear symptom of the distancing between the 'merengue' team and LaLiga. In addition, the president has already informed Carlo Ancelotti of his dismissal at the end of 24/25, even ruling out his presence at the Club World Cup.
In principle, Santiago Solari will take charge of directing the team in the tournament that starts in mid-June in the United States. For next season, everything seems to be on track for Xabi Alonso to take over the reins of the team, once the Donostiarra confirmed this weekend his farewell to Bayer Leverkusen.
Real Madrid plans a brief stay in Barcelona to play for LaLiga
For Sunday's Clásico, Madrid will only travel to Barcelona on Saturday afternoon, so the team will be in Catalan soil for as little time as possible. The 'merengues' will receive Mallorca next Wednesday for matchday 36, while Barça will go to Cornellà to face Espanyol on Thursday.
A culé victory on Sunday will practically sentence the 28th Liga title for Hansi Flick's team, who will have a 7-point advantage with just three matchdays to play.
Barça have already defeated Madrid in the three previous Clásicos this season and hopes to close an unprecedented full in four matches that, in addition, will mean three titles in favor of the azulgrana team in 24/25 (Liga, Copa and Supercopa).
