The bank BBVA has arrived to an agreement with the League of Professional Football (LFP) to finish with the agreement of sponsorship from 30 June 2016. The banking entity carried from 2008-2009 giving name to the First and Second Spanish Division

So much BBVA like the League of Professional Football (LFP) have reached an agreement to finish with the relation of sponsorship that had signed both organisations and by which the banking entity gave name to the leagues of First and Second Division of the state football. This collaboration will conclude the next 30 June 2016 and still desconoce if there will be another sponsor.

The bank has stood out in his communiqué that leaves to be sponsored of the Spanish competitions by the following reasons that "base in the strategic change that is carrying out, centred in the digital transformation of the bank to world-wide level". Other sources of the BBVA confirmed that the change "involves to develop a strategy based in the personalización, something inherent to the digital field, in front of global impacts".

The banking entity adds that LaLiga "finds in a new audiovisual stage that allows the international development of his mark with a decided bet by the global expansion". Both organisations stood out the success of his collaboration. "The big success of the collaboration in the last years, that has allowed to both institutions spread his marks of international form, and have recalcado his wish to continue working with dedication during the present season", stand out in his communiqués.

The BBVA began collaborating like sponsor for LaLiga in the year 2006, when it began to give him name to the Second Spanish Division. After describing as success said sponsorship, the bank decided two years later put also name to the First Division. Therefore from the campaign 2008-2009, the First Division happened to call League BBVA and the Second Division, League Forward.
