From England they have revealed the figure that the team that wants to take over the services of Erling Haaland this summer will have to pay... A millionaire transfer!

Calendar of FC Barcelona

There has been too much speculation about the price that the transfer of Erling Haaland could have in the event that the Norwegian makes the decision to leave Borussia Dortmund during this summer, but over time details related to the operation that may mark a before and after in the transfer market and that, without a doubt, will mean a huge outlay.

Haaland would have a clause of 75 million euros to leave Dortmund in 2022. It was confirmed a few weeks ago from Germany and this would be the fixed amount that the German team will receive to release its biggest star, but obviously it will not be the only thing that will have to be paid. 'Mirror' has pointed out that the transfer, in total and for a six-year contract (the maximum for which it is possible), would have a total cost of 350 million.

It is a very high figure, but it is important to break down. To the 75 'kilos' that Dortmund will ask for, we must add the commission that the player's agent, Mino Raiola, and Haaland's father expect to receive. This figure can rise to 60 million (40 for the representative and 20 for the parent, as previously reported). There are 135, but we will also have to add the salary of the Norwegian striker... which will not be cheap.

Haaland expects to receive a star salary of around 35 million euros gross. In theory, that is what, for example, Leo Messi earns at Paris Saint-Germain. For six years of contract, they would reach 215 'kilos'. With the 135 that would have to be disbursed in the first year, of the signing as such, the figure will reach 350 million euros raised by the British media.

In its information, 'Mirror' points out that it is Real Madrid who is preparing said offer to get the Dortmund striker this summer, recalling that last month the president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, held a meeting with the agent of the footballer and that there could be a war between the two 'greats' of Spain.

Barça starts with a disadvantage

The reality, apart from hope, is that Haaland's future will be decided shortly and that is bad news for Barça, which is in a very, very delicate moment economically, in which to think of a millionaire movement seems to be a chimera. The Norwegian 'killer' could say that he will leave Signal Iduna Park and in minutes a lot of offers are on his table. It remains to be asked if the azulgrana can send him one, when a week ago he was looking to sign up Ferran. Today, it seems very complicated.

Barça's big problem (in addition to the fact that, literally, there is not enough money today to face the operation) is that it exceeds its salary limit and all operations are 'worth' double or quadruple... thinking about the registration in League and the rules '1 to 4' and '1 to 2'. The first establishes that for every four euros released with a sale with capital gains or salary reduction, one can be used to register a player. In a simple example, if Haaland costs 57.5 million euros per season, Barça would have to generate income (from sales or sales) of 230 'kilos' to sign him up.

With the '1 to 2', which is used on players that represent 5% of the total cost of the squad and allows you to use half of what is released with your sale / salary reduction. For example, if Barça sold Sergio Busquets (one of the best paid and with no pending amortization) for 20 million, they can use ten for the registration of a footballer. In the case of Haaland, it would be necessary to generate, at the very least, 115 million euros.

Why would Haaland cost 57.5 million per season?

To get an idea of what Haaland could 'cost' to the wage bill (and therefore, register him), you can take the previous data: 75 million for Dortmund + 60 commission: 135 'kilos' of his signing, but To that we must add, in addition, the salary of 35 million. This is how the accounts would look:

  • Purchase price: 135 million euros
  • Contract years: 6 years
  • Gross salary: 35 million euros
  • Amortization: 22.5 million each season (135/6 = 22.5)
  • Annual expenditure for the wage bill: 22.5 million euros + 35 million = 57.5 'kilos'
