Tottenham 'steals' Xavi Simons from Chelsea for €60M!

Xavi Simons is now a new Tottenham player. The 'Spurs' beat Chelsea by paying 60 million euros fixed plus 10 'kilos' extra in variables to RB Leipzig, in a quick move orchestrated thanks to the call from Daniel Levy, president of the club, to the 22-year-old player.

The offensive midfielder traveled to London first thing Friday to close his transfer for five seasons, until June 2030, with an option for two more years. "Tottenham called and I answered. I will bring style to the team, but also hard work and discipline", commented the former FC Barcelona youth player after his presentation.

Simons, who will wear the number '7' in the Premier League, comes from scoring 22 goals and 24 assists in 78 games with Leipzig.
