Hansi Flick has confirmed the Barça squad list for the match against Girona, in the ninth round of LaLiga 2025/26. Lamine Yamal, the main novelty
Football Club Barcelona has announced the list of 21 players called up for Saturday's match against Girona. The Blaugrana team plays its fourth home game in LaLiga 2025/26, again at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium in Montjuïc.
Hansi Flick recovers Lamine Yamal and Fermín López, but adds three new casualties due to injury after the second break of the season. The '10' was out against Sevilla, while the player from Huelva had been out since September 21, against Getafe.
However, the Barça infirmary includes Dani Olmo and Robert Lewandowski due to injury. Ferran Torres will also not be available against Girona, the latter as a precaution due to discomfort in his left leg. Below, we review the list of players called up by Hansi Flick for this match:

Thus, Hansi Flick will not be able to count on a total of 7 players in matchday 9 of LaLiga due to physical problems. In addition to Olmo and Lewandowski, who are out for 3 and 4 weeks, respectively, Raphinha will once again be sidelined.
The Brazilian has not yet overcome his injury to his right thigh and may only be back in time for the Clásico on Sunday the 26th. Joan García, Gavi, and Ter Stegen are also still in the infirmary. The Catalan goalkeeper will probably be out until mid-November, while the German hopes to return in December. The midfielder, however, is ruled out until February at the earliest.
Barça Must End Their Negative Streak Against Girona
Beyond the casualties, Barcelona needs to cut short its streak of two consecutive defeats (Sevilla and PSG) with a convincing collective performance against Girona. The team was physically overwhelmed in its latest appearances, and the coaching staff is confident that, after the break, they will be able to correct the errors that cost them the league leadership at the Sánchez Pizjuán.
Barça is now 2 points behind Real Madrid. A Barça victory and a 'merengue' stumble on Sunday against Getafe will allow the 'culés' to regain the lead before visiting the Santiago Bernabéu.
