Saudi Arabia's Al-Shabab made a last-minute offer to try to sign Ansu Fati. The player, however, rejected the proposal and will remain at Barça until the summer
After several weeks of uncertainty regarding his stay at FC Barcelona, Ansu Fati will finally continue wearing the blue and garnet jersey, at least until the end of the season. Despite being on the 'exit ramp' throughout the winter window, the player has remained firm in his stance and will continue under Hansi Flick in this second half of the season.
However, Saudi Arabia tried to seduce him one last time just hours before the transfer market closed. According to 'SPORT', Al-Shabab made an offer to the blue and garnet entity to acquire the forward, which consisted of 10 million euros for the transfer plus another 5 in objectives.
Ansu refused to listen to offers
Ansu, however, rejected the proposal from the Asians, as his main desire is to gain more prominence at Spotify Camp Nou in the coming weeks. This situation poses a problem for the Catalans, as the attacker is the third highest-paid player in the squad, only behind Lewandowski and Frenkie de Jong, earning an amount that ranges between 13 and 14 million euros gross.
Although Flick tried to recover the best version of Fati, injuries once again hindered the player's development, causing him to lose the German's confidence. As of today, the forward has barely accumulated 186 minutes across all competitions, and if his situation at the club does not take a radical turn, he will once again be in the 'eye of the storm' this summer, as the Catalans want to part ways with his high salary. The 'soap opera' is not over.
