FC Barcelona will apparently have a hard time resolving the future of Marc-André ter Stegen, who, barring a major turn of events, could leave the culé team this summer market. This is due to the imminent signing of Joan García and the possible renewal of Wojciech Szczęsny.
In this scenario, one team gives the impression of betting heavily on the services of the experienced German goalkeeper. According to reports from Turkey, Galatasaray wants him and would be willing to hire him this summer if the conditions are right, even establishing contacts with the player to know his availability.

However, despite the good prospects indicated from Turkey about a possible agreement between Galatasaray and Ter Stegen, the reality seems to be different. The cited source indicates that the meeting was not satisfactory, as the first offer did not convince the goalkeeper. Therefore, his representative would have conveyed the rejection to the Istanbul team. Apparently, there was a disparity of economic criteria, added to a key factor: 'MATS' does not want to leave Barcelona in the short term.
Ter Stegen wants to fulfill his contract with Barça
The German goalkeeper aims to fulfill his contract with Barça, which extends until 2028. In turn, in recent appearances in which he has been consulted on the matter, he has made clear his intention to stay at the club. Even, faced with the possible arrival of a direct competitor like Joan García, he has shown willingness to fight for the starting position.
In this context, Ter Stegen is not expected to accept a new offer soon. He is focused on continuing to be a Barcelona player, fully recovered from his knee injury and showing a good competitive level. This was evident in his latest performances with Germany in the UEFA Nations League, where he shone against teams like Portugal and France. He is ready to compete with Joan García and, if his renewal is confirmed, also with Szczęsny.
Barça's economic problem with three top goalkeepers
However, for the azulgrana team, the continuity of Ter Stegen is not entirely clear. The club does not give the impression of being able to keep three top-level goalkeepers on the payroll, not for sports reasons, but for the economic impact it would have on the wage bill.
The player from Mönchengladbach is currently one of the best-paid players in the Barcelona team, which represents a problem if he is not an undisputed starter. This could accelerate his departure, as Barcelona cannot afford a substitute with such a high salary.
